Township Rollers, one of Botswana’s most storied football clubs, has confirmed the appointment of Serbian tactician Srdan ZivojnovĀ as their new head coach. The club announced the three-year deal earlier today, bringing an end to widespread speculation surrounding the top job at Rollers.

Zivojnov, 53, steps into the role following a trophyless campaign that saw the club fall outside the top three in the FNB Premiership standings. His arrival is seen as a major step in Rollers’ efforts to rebuild and reclaim their spot among the elite in local football.

According to the club, Zivojnov comes with an impressive resume, having previously managed teams across Europe and Africa, including stints in continental competitionsĀ like the CAF Champions LeagueĀ and the CAF Confederation Cup.

"We are delighted to welcome Coach Zivojnov on a three-year contract. His international experience and proven leadership will be key as we prepare for a new chapter,ā€Ā the club noted in a statement.

Zivojnov is already in Botswana, reportedly finalizing administrative processes and beginning early introductions with the squad.

The new coach replaces Aziz Karkache, and his first task will be overseeing Rollers’ pre-season preparations. Expectations are high from supporters, with hopes that this move will restore the team’s competitiveness in both the league and the Orange FA Cup.
